For many older people, the changes in the virtual world are happening too quickly: they are not familiar with it and often have no one to turn to for information. Moreover, they often have little idea where to start with their questions. This is a problem that we are happy to address together with our clients: the chatbot Lotti.ai patiently answers all simple and complex questions on various online areas. This topic is exciting for us because it allows us to improve the virtual connectivity possibilities of entire generations.

Fighting loneliness with the chatbot
During the pandemic, it became apparent how many older people lacked access to the virtual togetherness that made isolation more bearable for younger generations: the barriers to getting into the internet and its possibilities were too high. Innovative young people explained in broad terms to older relatives and acquaintances how messengers work and created step-by-step guides for online game nights. This was important but punctual help - and this is where Lotti comes in: Lotti.ai is a chatbot based on ChatGPT that allows users to ask questions about emails, social media, video calling, app setup and usage, and much more. The answers are formulated in a generally understandable way.
Lotti.ai as a basis for a community
Lotti.ai is a generative AI that is already being used. Continuous optimization takes place through feedback: users can provide short ratings and complete questionnaires where answers are possible on scales. This way, the tool is continuously adapted to the needs of the users. Currently, questions and answers are possible in written form, but a voice option is planned. The goal is to enable older people to participate virtually and show them new possibilities for networking and communication. In the medium term, onboarding sessions in the real world are planned in Berlin and other locations. Currently, the project has the necessary solid virtual foundation with Lotti.ai.
